Happy Halloween...Hangover!

Yes, I said Halloween hangover. Most kids eat way too much sugar on Halloween, which leaves them either sluggish, jittery, or grumpy the next day. Teachers usually write this day off as a loss because the students are generally disinterested in anything other than how crummy they feel and how many pieces of candy are in their lunch bag.

If you wonder where we've been (because we OBVIOUSLY haven't been blogging), we've been in a cave. This cave, also known as the first month and a half of school, is a place filled with stamps, name lists, stickers, grading sheets, plan books, and all sorts of back-to-school goodies. We have a new office manager on board, and a few new tutors, so things have been a little crazy lately. As much as I'd like to say that blogging is a priority, the kids we work with are ALWAYS a priority. They have received our undivided attention since school started.

Parent-teacher conferences are coming up soon, so I will be posting a few tricks of the trade for parents at home over the next few weeks.

Stay tuned!
